Creighton Bluejays Basketball Secures Matchup with Gonzaga
Creighton Bluejays men?s basketball has arranged an exciting nonconference series against Gonzaga University over the next two seasons, as reported by CBS Sports. The teams will first meet on November 11 at the McCarthey Athletic Center, followed by a game in Omaha during the 2026-27 season. This matchup marks the 12th encounter between the two programs, with Creighton currently leading the all-time series 6-5, although Gonzaga has won the last three meetings, including their last clash in the 2021 Sweet Sixteen.
Creighton enters this new chapter after a second-round exit in the NCAA Tournament last season and the graduation of key players Ryan Kalkbrenner and Steven Ashworth. Head coach Greg McDermott has rejuvenated the team by bringing in five four-star recruits through the transfer portal, including forward Owen Freeman from Iowa. The Bluejays? upcoming schedule also includes a game against Oklahoma just days prior to facing Gonzaga.
